The GoTo-Technology features a Go2Nova 8407+ controller with integrated heater for its large display, a 212,000 object library, integrated 32-channel-GPS and ST-4 auto guiding port.
Another great feature besides the centre-balance is the ultra-quiet low power consumption stepper motor drive systems. Both models of the CEM40 are precise trackers, the CEM40-EC version delivering <0.25 arcsecond accuracy with its high-resolution encoder and its real time periodic error correction (RPEC).

With or without encoder: The mount is available in two versions, both of which track your optics precisely in the night sky. The variant with high-resolution encoders (EC) on both axes achieves an accuracy of less than 0.25 angular seconds and corrects the periodic screw error in real time! As a result, guiding is no longer necessary in astrophotography.
This mount already comes with iOptron's newly developed LiteRoc tripod.
The mount comes with the LiteRoc 1.75" tripod delivers rock solid stability in a lighter, more compact package. It also has improved leg cuffs and sockets for more rigidity and redesigned leg lock levers.
