Vixen VISAC VC200L Catadioptric OTA (f/9)
This refractor is particularly ideal for astrophotography, since it delivers a perfectly smooth, true colour picture across the whole small-size picture format. Due to the three-lens field correction in front of the secondary mirror, aberrations, coma or curving never occur. Optimized for photographical interests, it can of course be used for visual observation, too.
The VISAC design provides superior definition images right to the edge of a wide viewing field and offers excellent performance for astrophotography. Even at the edge of 35mm film format CCD chips, stars are sharp and typically better than the resolution of high quality CCD imagers.
Features:
Aluminium vacuum coating system:
Vixen has developed a unique aluminium vacuum coating system which creates extremely precise mirror surfaces. This revolutionary system allows the controlled coating of the primary mirror and so achieves a very high degree of accuracy. This coating is used with both the VC200L, as well as the R200SS.
