The Tecnosky 102/714 doublet refractor is finally back, but with improved tube construction and FPL53 glass optics at a truly attractive price!
Thanks to the use of two high-quality glasses, such as synthetic fluorite FPL53 and Lanthanum, chromatic aberration is extremely corrected even at the fast focal ratio F7.
The tube is made entirely of aluminum with sharp-edged internal diaphragms and a matte finish to eliminate reflections.
The robust 2.5" rack-and-pinion focuser (the same one that equips the 115 triplet) supports heavy loads with extreme precision.
The use of the rack avoids the annoying slippage present on inexpensive Crayfords and guarantees very high repeatability with the use of stepper motors.
The focuser also features a graduated scale on the internal tube and a convenient 1:10 micrometric knob.
The equipment is completed by a pair of CNC rings and a Vixen bar.
Ideal telescope for observing the Moon, planets, and double stars thanks to the excellent sharpness and clarity of the APO doublet; when equipped with the 1x field flattener or the 0.8X field flattener/reducer, it becomes an excellent instrument for deep-sky photography with SLR and CCD cameras.
