Description
The AP 140/910 optics are suitable for both mobile astrophotography and observatories. The large 140 mm aperture, combined with the colour-pure images produced by the triplet design, opens up a wide range of possible uses.
The 3-element lens with two ultra-low dispersion ED elements is fully adjustable. The colour correction meets the requirements of demanding astrophotographers: even bright stars show no colour fringing. Visual observation of bright planets is a huge pleasure with this obstruction-free aperture and relatively high resolution! Highly addictive!
The apochromat is equipped with a large 4" R&P focuser. The focuser allows a variety of connection options for a screw connection to an astro camera. Even full-frame cameras are fully illuminated.
The mechanics (focuser) are optimally adjusted before shipping. The collimation is checked on the optical bench (autocollimation) and improved if necessary. A series of images is taken and included with each telescope. Star image extra- and intrafocal, star image in focus and a Ronchi image.
